At Blue Violet Bridal in Westerly, RI, we’ve designed every appointment to help you actually enjoy the moment you find your dress. Here’s what you can expect when you shop at Blue Violet!
✨ Step 1: A Warm Welcome
From the moment you walk through our doors, you will be greeted by your personal stylist. Your stylist is excited to hear all about your wedding day vision. Whether you’re a beach bride getting married in Narragansett or planning a rustic vineyard wedding in Stonington, we’ll start by chatting about your venue, style, and budget to help narrow down the perfect options. We will discuss if you have tried on before, what you think you want or don’t want. We will discuss timelines and budget as well. Our stylists understand that weddings are expensive and always want to be respectful of your budget. For knowledge our made to order dresses start at $1500 and go to $2500, with most falling between $1800-$2000. We also have a large selection of off the rack dresses that start at $799-$1500 and are taken home that day!
đź‘— Step 2: Curated Dress Selection
We don’t just hand you a rack of dresses. Your stylist will pre-select gowns from our curated collection. We try to reach out before the appointment to get an idea of what you are looking. Look out for that email a couple days ahead of time or feel free to send us pictures or your pinterest board. We have featured designers like Lillian West, Casablanca Bridal, and our Cali Rose private label. You can preview dresses in our store from our website here or by looking through our instagram page. You will also be able to browse our open inventory to choose dresses to try on. Based on where you are in your shopping journey you will try a mix of styles and silhouettes. We have so many different styles from romantic lace, whimsical A-line, or modern clean wedding dress. You won’t need to worry about not being able to try on everything you want!. All will chosen to fit your body, personality, price point and wedding vision.
đź’• Step 3: The Try-On Experience
This is where the fun really begins! You’re guests will sit at one of our pedestal areas, complete with mirrors and comfy seating. You will try on dresses with a dedicated stylist and be zipped and clipped to get the idea of how it will fit! You will step out onto the pedestal to share your thoughts and feelings and all the supportive energy you need. Your stylist will not only listen to what you say about the dress but what you don’t say. They will watch your body language, smile and light in your eyes. Through this they will help you determine favorites and others to try on. When we have it narrowed down we will revisit your favorites. From there we will add accessories to really get an idea of your wedding day look. Your stylist will be along for the whole process and like your bridal bestie there to listen and support you and help you find the one!
💍 Step 4: Saying “Yes” to the Dress
When you find the one, we’ll celebrate with you! Whether you’re a “tears and tissues” kind of bride or a “happy dance” kind, we make sure your moment is special. There will be a photo opportunity for you and your guests. Your stylist will review your sizing, order details, and alterations timeline and cover any other questions you have.
🧵 Step 5: What Happens After You Say Yes
After you purchase your dress the waiting begins and other planning can happen. The dress will take 5-7 months to come in. We do not receive updates until it ships to us. We will contact you the moment your dress arrives in the store. While you are waiting we encourage you to plan all your wedding attire needs. Many brides return to us for their bridesmaids, mothers, and tuxedo rentals, keeping the whole wedding party coordinated under one roof. We provide the same personalized service no matter what you are shopping for! We also provide a loyalty discount and when you purchase your dress with us your accessories, mothers and bridesmaids receive 10% off. Kayla is also a licensed travel agent and has helped many Blue Violet Brides book their honeymoon!
