There are some brides who walk into Blue Violet Bridal & Prom and immediately feel like “our people.” Over the years, we’ve had the joy of meeting so many incredible women from Mystic, CT, Westerly, Stonington, and all across Eastern Connecticut and Southern Rhode Island. Every so often, a friend group becomes family.

That’s exactly what happened with Allie and her amazing circle of friends from Mystic.

A Friendship Story Told Through Wedding Dresses

We first met this group years ago. One bride at a time, appointment by appointment, celebration by celebration. Before we knew it, we were dressing their entire friend group for some of the biggest moments of their lives.

There’s something incredibly special about watching friends come back together at different phases of their journeys. We’ve zipped them into gowns, talked through nerves, celebrated “this is THE dress” moments, and even laughed (and cried!) together.

It’s a reminder of why we do what we do: because bridal shopping is never just a transaction. It is personal. And It’s emotional. And sometimes, it turns clients into lifelong friends.

Allie’s Block Island Wedding: The Perfect Match

So when Allie came in for her wedding dress appointment, we already knew it would be a meaningful day. She’s the kind of bride who lights up a room. The minute she stepped into one of our Cali Rose Collection gowns, we all felt it this was her dress.

The lace, the silhouette, the effortless coastal elegance… it fit her Block Island wedding vision perfectly. Seeing her wear that gown against the backdrop of the ocean, sandy beaches, and New England charm was pure magic.

Block Island weddings have such a unique beauty. They mix of coastal romance, relaxed luxury, and natural scenery – and Allie captured it effortlessly.

We still have one more wedding coming up in this Mystic friend group.

Watching this crew cheer each other on, show up for every appointment, and celebrate each other’s milestones has been one of the highlights of our year. We cannot wait to see the next bride on her wedding day. We just had the bridesmaids in and were discussing how this is the end of an era. How now that weddings are coming to and end we will still need to hang out!
